Finchley Chamber Choir, Conductor: David Lardi

Join FCC

Finchley Chamber Choir is currently looking for a few new voices. It is a friendly but hard-working locally based group of about 30 singers, usually giving five concerts each season in Trinity Church, Nether Street, North Finchley, N12 7NN, as well as other occasional performances at home and abroad and some BBC broadcasts. Our regular rehearsal night is Tuesday (7.45pm - 10.00pm) at our concert venue.

The choir performs the widest range and variety of music from the Renaissance through to new commissions, from unaccompanied motets and part-songs through to full-scale choral works accompanied by its sister organisation Finchley Symphony Orchestra. Basically, if it's suitable for FCC we sing it! We aim for the highest standards and work quickly so some sight reading ability is required. There are regular opportunities (not obligatory!) for solo work as virtually all such is taken by choir members.

To get a better idea of how we work and what we expect from choir members, please read our Membership Guidelines (PDF file, 110KB).

If you are interested, please talk to Richard Cox (Secretary) Tel 020 3441 7450 or email He can send you an application form and then invite you to come and sing in a couple of rehearsals so that you have a chance to meet and hear us. After this you may be asked to come for a simple audition as this gives the musical director a chance to hear what you can do. Richard can also discuss all other matters including subscriptions.
