Mozart Requiem Revisited
- Date & Time: Saturday 24 January 2026, 10:00 AM - 5.00 PM
- Venue: Trinity Church, North Finchley, N12 7NN
A choral workshop hosted by Finchley Chamber Choir, led by Lloyd Buck. We’ll be exploring the Mozart Requiem – not the familiar version completed by Franz Süssmayr, but the alternative completion by eminent American musicologist Robert D Levin, which gives a new perspective on how Mozart may have intended the piece to sound.
Choral conductor, pianist and composer Lloyd Buck will give us lots of opportunities to sing, as well as providing information about the history of the piece and the decisions taken by Levin in completing his reconstruction. The day will finish with a mini performance of the Requiem (from 4.00 pm): feel free to invite family and friends to attend, at no charge.
Your ticket includes complementary tea, coffee and biscuits during the breaks; please bring your own lunch (or there are plenty of places you can buy food nearby).
